In 2022, I was in charge of putting on World Refugee Day Pittsburgh 2022 in Schenley Plaza with a team of individuals from various organizations in the city.
In addition to creating the marketing materials and promoting the event on social media and the website, I also helped organize the committees that planned out the vendors and performers, as well as managing the logistics for the day of. I also wrote and distributed the press release and media managed interviews for the event.
The event was held on Monday, June 20, 2022, and around 1000 individuals attended, representing countries from all over the world. Below is the poster I created, which was used as a basis to create other marketing materials and develop a webpage (no longer public). I created the main image using clipart from iStock and Canva, as well as digitally hand-drawn elements.
